No ... I just remember that nearly 40 years ago, Andrew Roddham had a box of them and they had Vincent labels attached to them.

I believe it was built from odds and sods by Colin King I did wonder! I seem to remember seeing it come up somewhere before and Pewsey was where the As it was Buzz ran from when he was the organiser.

For the first year of the EACC, Andrew Roddham was the club spares. The carbs were in the spare stocks for years as they didn't fit anything anyone actually had. I think I had one with the thought of using it on a Firefly - the air filter is obviously meant for forward-facing installation. However, as the Amal worked perfectly well, I never bothered using it ... can't remember what happened to it in the end.

I believe it was built from odds and sods by Colin King In which case, I'm even more convinced about him running out of enthusiasm for it ... nowhere near as good as his 'Rex Hake' specials.

No, it's definitely a Sun - that rather splendid silencer is a distinctive Sun feature. There were quite a few of them made but the majority went for export - you'd be more likely to see one in Canada than here!

Despite the VMCC dating it to 1950, I'd say it's late 1951 (based on the engine number); the registration number dates from 1952.
I like the way he says:
He's not allowed for the old adage that the last 20% of the work takes the last 80% of the time.
