Looks like a Norman, one of the immediate post-war ones built from Rudge bits.

Looks like a Norman, one of the immediate post-war ones built from Rudge bits. Yep But unless the forks have been changed? they are later.
And registered as Villiers that's going to be fun (not) convincing an insurance company you have a "Villiers" and good luck trying to convince DVLA it's really a Norman.
And some of the pictures are from a different bike altogether.

Yep But unless the forks have been changed? Changing forks happens, and could mean it's a Rudge Rudge as changing rigid to sprung is understandable And some of the pictures are from a different bike altogether. I hadn't noticed that ... looks like another Rudge?

Looks like a Norman, one of the immediate post-war ones built from Rudge bits. Spot on Mr P Declared manufacture 1947 Frame number starts with R Them forks look original fitment to me! (but first time I have seen them on this model?). Odd that it got on the database in 1983 as make "Villiers"
Even odder that somebody would buy it 🤔🙄😮

I've decided that I have to let my, only recently acquired, '79 Mobylette 40T go. I love it but have to be honest with myself. It's not practical for hauling my Bulk around and I need something that will get me around, hills included. I've put it on (Shudder!) Ebay, as a Classified ad'. I want to sell it asap and find something more suitable. I have no money so I'll be looking at a Semi-Project sort of deal. I still want simple, an MZ would be ideal, but I can only add a tiny bit of cash to the Moby' to buy anything. I've put it up at £700.00. If it were via EACC, or another appreciation type group, I would look at £LESS in cash/bank transfer.
Other point, if anybody has a geared moped, manual gears, I'd be interested in deals?
Edit to add:- SOLD to Good People today.
