Great weekend away at Shepton Mallet for the Bristol Classic MotorCycle Show. Big thanks to Steve Hofmann for organising along with Geoff 'no internet' Brooks, Mike 'not a member and haven't been on a run yet' Burgess, Dave 'the watch' ? and the others who supplied bikes. Thanks to those named above for manning the stand allowing me plenty of time to take in the rest of the show. All in, a very enjoyable time, probably the best show to ever be involved with. My pictures of the small stuff spotted and just some of the other stands: www.flickr.com/photos/40103650@N04/albums/72177720297013637

Steve's comment on the Wiltshire Whizzers FB group page: I would just like to start by thanking all those who supported our first effort at the Bristol Classic Bike Show. Everybody went above and beyond not only in terms of bringing their bikes, but also supporting with the physical work of setting up and pulling down the stand, together with engaging with the public in the manner that is very much the trademark of us as a group; friendly, helpful and with a good sense of humour. It was a pleasure to be with you all over the course of the weekend. As always with a first effort, there is much more we can do to further improve and we are carefully thinking about what more should be done to make this happen. It was nice to be invited to attend at least three further events, including the Thruxton classic bike racing one this summer. This would be another full weekend event, that would also quite possibly include taking the bikes on quick runs to demonstrate what they are like (I hope it’s a lap of the track!), together with access to the paddock and the main stand. I also understand that if this is successful a further invite to the British Superbike event could also be on the cards. I hope we will see even more of you wanting to exhibit bikes at events, including the Bristol show, in the future. We are starting to make a real impression I a very positive way, as the number of people who have expressed an interest joining us on runs and the Facebook site indicate.
