Did you recruit lots of new members? Mr Secretary will be the only person who can answer that question, hopefully he will provide some feedback.
If those who said they would join do? potentially around 10-12 I would say.
Nearly all the MAC's were taken.
Definitely need to update the information sheet (just says send a cheque) There was no internet service in the hall to show people the website.
The stand definitely attracted lots of interest right from a young lad who was doing an engineering degree at university who had never seen our type of cyclemotors before and it gave him an idea for his dissertation, to the older gents who remembered the Villiers engines in things like the James Comet / Bown they had. There were several enquires about registrations (Note to self: Have information sheets to hand out). All in it was a very good show especially under the circumstances of having been cancelled for 2 years to bounce back it was a "Good effort by all involved".
Personally I was pleased that Peter M left a comment on our FB group. "Just a word of appreciation for one D Watson at the Manchester Bike Show last weekend. Sterling effort - all the way from Norfolk for the weekend, put on his own excellent part of the display, and was rewarded with an award for the Shiniest New Hudson Autocycle in Show, but crucially, he positioned himself at the entrance to the Stand and promoted the EACC throughout the two days. Good work Dave! I thought the effort should not go without remark and thanks"

Definitely need to update the information sheet (just says send a cheque) Cheques are OK. Our treasurer can now pay them in at the Post Office, which removes a lot of the inconvenience mentioned at the AGM. I would say the event was a big sucsess for the EACC/LSR . the show was touch and go due to the situation before christmas , the lifting of restrictions certainly helped and the show was very well attended .
Our stand certainly drew lots of attention, and actually won 4 awards for different bikes that were displayed , im informed that this was a first for a display to win so many from one stand .
Dave certainly played his part with the promotion and the LSR have had an influx of new members joining our fb page so hopefully they will follow and become members of the eacc, and im sure andrew will be getting quite a few dating certificate requests .
Thanks to the EACC for all their support and the guys that put a great deal of effort in to make it a great weekend .

Our treasurer can now pay them in at the Post Office, which removes a lot of the inconvenience mentioned at the AGM. But it still involves a trip to the Post Office, fill in a form and put in an envelope. I don't call that very convenient and that's not to mention the one's that are not filled out correctly.

But it still involves a trip to the Post Office, fill in a form and put in an envelope. I don't call that very convenient and that's not to mention the one's that are not filled out correctly. It's a lot more convenient than a much longer trip to the bank and waiting while they're fed, one at a time, through the world's slowest cheque scanner - which are the two things that most annoyed our treasurer. In fact, all methods of payment have their downsides. Paypal comes top for convenience, but bottom for charges. The bank never tells you when you get a BACS payment, so you have to remember to go and check and then have to match the payment up with whatever it's for ...

Thanks for that; I'll let our treasurer know ... the club account counts as a business account, and these often don't have the same facilities as personal accounts ... we''l see what happens.
