Sadly no. Very nice looking shiny black paint work with red lining. Said by the owner that it lived in his hall-way.

Could it be this NH that John spotted at Kempton? on eBay for £1,899.00.

So excuse the probably stupid question, but are New Hudsons like the holy grail of bikes? I admit they’re pretty though.

Quite the opposite I would say, New Hudson made/sold more than any other autocycles and probably the most survivors. And they were the most popular because they were the cheapest ... so this particular one is a lot prettier than when it left the factory! Villiers-engined autocycles all use the same running gear so, on performance, all makes are pretty much the same. This makes the rarer ones the more sought after (and a really good rare bike to have because, unlike most rare machines, spares are readily available). Of the Villiers 2F engined models, I'd guess that the Bown is, realistically, the most wanted. Suns are less common (in the UK at least) but Bowns are better looking. Unrealistically, the ABJ will be most sought ... but not found, as I think there's only a couple of known survivors.

And probably worth mentioning New Hudson stopped producing motorcycles in the 30's by the time the autocycle came along it was part of the mighty BSA group.

Thanks guys. Very helpful. I’m into old mopeds etc. mostly because of their styling. A time when aesthetics were more important than practicality or functionality. New Hudsons are very pretty I have to say.
