Help required!!!u Having (almost)restored a very low mileage 1971 Barn Find PUCH MAXI, I have run into major problems re-assembling the carburetor. Typically the throttle slide works very well when out of the carb. body when winding the throttle open and closed; the throttle cable running quite freely . However, after fighting the throttle spring and screwing down the top of the carburetor, the throttle slide refuses point blank to move....
I have a Haynes Manual for the MAXI; it is very descriptive in taking the carburetor apart but totally useless on its re-assembly! As for my feelings about the throttle spring; they are unrepeatable.. Am I missing something,or, is there someone in the EACC who is knowledgeable about BING carburetors and can help???
Thank you!
