Hi There, I have recently joined the club so here is my first foray into joining with an event.. Such a shame things are virtual as the mince pie run goes past my front door in Chelmo. I am looking forward to meeting other members once the vaccine starts to win the battle. Any way here is a pic of the mighty New Hudson next to the scrap pile with a slightly nautical theme. Camera malfunction, no photos of my Ciao at Potter Heigham bridge. My AV92 declined to start but the Ciao was keen for an outing. We got soaked on the way home.

Easy option (nearest to the garage door) for a little 3.3 mile run to a popular spot for ice creams in warmer weather. PC50 fuelled up, got a slightly nautical tee-shirt, what could possibly go wrong? Answer A flat tyre. At a wet Potter Heigham the swans thought they were going to get my Mince Pie. after a nice cheese burger from the take away stall it was a sunny Potter Heigham.

Not allowed out here, but made the most of the "Sun" in the morning.

Well, that seemed to work as an event. What did everyone think? Obviously, we hope that the next Mince Pie Run will be back to normal, but could it be worth doing this sort of event again in 'normal' times? One idea that springs to mind is doing it on each 'Drive It Day'. The nautical theme sparked some imaginative ideas, so maybe we could have a different theme each year? Any thoughts?

For a future event, such as the "Drive it Day" how about a museum theme? Ride to a museum, photo at the museum and post the picture as per Mince Pie Run 21.
Plenty of options out there, local to me there is EATM, Norfolk M'c museum, Museum of the Broads, and there are similar all over the country. Heritage railways too.

For a future event, such as the "Drive it Day" how about a museum theme? Yes, that would be a good one. Some years, we have organised rides that take place on Drive it Day (depending on village hall availability) and, if that were that case, the theme could be connected to something on that route. For example, one year the Radar Run was on DID, so a theme of Fortifications would fit with the Martello Towers on the route ... or, as it goes past Sutton Hoo, a National Trust theme would fit too. (That's only an example, not a suggestion, as the Radar Run won't be on DID this year.)
