The 1953 Power Pak.
What a fascinating little engine ! I love everything about it from it's cunningly constructed fuel tank with built in reserve to it's dinky little carb. The carburettor is (to me) an exquisite example of British design. What with the smoothly operating vanes on the choke (with 2 accurately positioned detents) The captive float and a quarter turn pet cock drain off-It's almost steam punk! I haven't been able to source a gasket set yet, but I see Amal is still in business and does have some parts available. Wonder if anyone has any suggestions as to the best sort of material to make gaskets from? I would prefer nor to have to resort to modern sealants unless unavoidable. Also-I haven't seen any air filtration in any of the schematics, any suggestions as I will be riding along quite a few dusty side roads? The carb has some patchy gold Hammerite looking paint on it-Don't know if it's original ?? Well, that's quite enough from me.
Cheerio !!!

Hello David, welcome to the board. Proper gasket paper is readily available, a quick search on line will find it. Head gaskets can be made from copper sheet, but don't forget to anneal it before fitting.
