Hi - I’ve been busy during lockdown and finally renovated 2 old Puch Maxi N’s that have been on the project list since I retired in 2017. Having received the registration paperwork back from the DVLA (thanks Andrew Pattle for all your help) and completed the historic tax application on line - I called my insurer Carole Nash to add the bikes to my current Puch Maxi S policy. Unfortunately I found out that my current policy will only cover 1 bike, so I either have to cancel my existing policy and take out another policy (that will only cover 2 bikes max??) or have separate policies for each bike. I’ve got another 2 Puchs that I’m in the process of renovating so I could end up with 5 separate policies ??
Another twist is that I don’t have a motorbike licence, I will be riding them on my old car licence - so some of the vintage motorbike insurers won’t cover me because of this and also some of the vintage policies require you to have owned the bikes for over a year??
Anybody out there have any experience with multi bike policies, riding them on an old car licence ?

Can't help with the riding a moped with car licence query (had full licence since good old days!).
I've been with Peter James for several years now, unlimited number of bikes on multi bike policy, only starts going up from the minimum amount when the combined value goes above £10,000. I always add (or swap some around) at policy renewal time saving any admin fees. There is an on-line quote facility but probably best to ring them and explain to a nice friendly West Yorkshire member of staff what it is you require.

I'm in exactly the same position as Dave: full bike licence and insured with Peter James. While it won't help with your immediate problem, there is a long term solution: get a bike licence!
