The last EACC mopedjumble of the season combined with a tour of the quiet Suffolk lanes.
Kneel’s Wheels is the biggest of the EACC village hall based runs; the village hall in question is at Great Blakenham. This will be the thirteenth running of this classic event. Full reception facilities and free refreshments are available on arrival. The mopedjumble is typically supported by all, from the larger stands to the various smaller pitches of general members. The jumble opens 9:30am, the run sets off at 11:00am. The lunch stop is at Claydon Crown. After lunch, the run returns to Great Blakenham where the jumble continues.
The EACC AGM will be at 2:15pm—although the AGM is, of course, ‘members only’, the EACC welcomes non-members throughout the rest of the event.
Directions to the start: Great Blakenham is on the B1113. Leave the A14 at its junction (No 52) with the B1113 and follow the signs to ‘Gt Blakenham’. In Great Blakenham, turn right at the ‘Village Hall’ sign into Mill Lane, opposite the Chequers pub. The village hall is along this road on the right.
Everyone welcome—Free day membership if you’re not an EACC member. Please contact the organiser for more information or to reserve a jumble space (telephone Neil Morley on 01473 743587).
Kneel’s Wheels and the AGM The club’s AGM takes place on 24th November at Great Blakenham village hall (IP6!0NJ) immediately after we all get back from the Kneel’s Wheels ride. While the prospect of sitting through an AGM may not sound all that enticing, it is your opportunity to make sure your committee is running the club the way you want it. We try to make our club as democratic as possible and the AGM is an essential part of keeping it that way. We need at least 25 of you there to hold the meeting, so please don’t just slope off home after the run—stay just a little longer and come to the AGM. Generally, our AGMs aren’t long-winded affairs; last year’s only took 45 minutes. I expect the subject of membership fees will come up, because it usually does, but as far as I know there will be no controversial matters; less than an hour of your time is all it takes to keep your club running smoothly.
