I have recently acquired this ANKA 1972 Moped for a new project but apart from the name on the side I cant find any other information about it....anyone have an info on it?
please and thank you.
The Dutch company Anker entered the moped market in 1965 when it purchased the failing Berini company. It continued to use the Berini name in the Netherlands but branded its exports to the UK as Anker. The Anker Ankermatic was the UK version of the Berini VE48, announced in March 1967. Imports actually started in May 1967 and continued until September 1969.
The Ankermatic was revised in 1968 with a new frame and smaller wheels. This version was known as the Ankermatic MkII in the UK (Berini 600 in the Netherlands).
