Hello all, with a technical persuasion. I am at a standstill regarding my winged wheel project. The very reason I joined EACC for, to align myself with kindred spirits, in the hope of getting out of my present impasse. In my eager haste to acquire the box of bits containing the winged wheel motor, along with a Raleigh Rudge period frame and Webb forks. I was indeed in high spirits, to the task at hand to do a total rebuild. However as the summer months have now rolled by, I am now at a stand still. Not least because of a saesonal variation. But because of a crucial part missing from the carburettor attached to the motor. Which is an Amal 335/1 type, the missing part is the air jet needle, I have the jet, which is a .0247 type, but I am lacking the throttle cable and needle. Trawling the internet and sending various emails to people such as mopedland spares Burels carburettor proprietors for Amal, has so far failed to reveal any product or technical information for the needle, so as I could at least have the measurements to attempt to have one or several made, by someone? Given I am very much at last chance saloon, I feel to be running out of options to obtain a needle? Making my project redundant. Which cannot be right? Does anybody have a carburettor or a spare jet needle you would be willing to either sell or loan to me in order measurements could be taken so as I could get myself out of my awkward predicament?
